Thomas Robin Mense had been a tortured soul since birth. For most of his early life he kept the torture to himself. Then he met Detective Morrison. That is when his sickness spilled out into the world.

NYPD detective, Joel Morrison, has made his reputation catching heinous murderers. Excited over the news of a baby on the way, Morrison dreams of the perfect family he'll have with his wife Lez and their unborn child. All of that is turned upside down when he receives a photo of a murdered woman. Thomas Mense's work has begun. Morrison does his best to separate his professional life from his life at home but this becomes very difficult when the killer knows where you sleep.

Distraught by the case, Morrison enlists the help of his best friend, Dr. Phillip Raef. Known as "Flip" by his closest friends, Phillip is a wealthy psychiatrist and former forensics profiler. With Flip's help Morrison starts making progress into the case. Then Morrison receives another photo. The photo is of yet another beautiful young woman, an aspiring singer named Missy. Morrison finds her just like he found the first. In a hotel room, with a large cut right above her bikini line. A cut that has been meticulously sewn together. The two murders has everyone on edge and then, to make the situation worse, Shelby Smith, the daughter of the prominent Orlando District Attorney goes missing.

Agent Melvin Steele, a bright young FBI agent is enlisted to find the killer before he kills again. Together Morrison, Steele and Phillip search for the answers that will bring an end to this murderous game; answers that will bring them face to face with a killer who goes by the name of "Fear."
